Verkkommentar: "Runtom i Sverige finns det här och där en del äldre herrar som på fritiden tycker om att spela swing och lyssna på gamla storbandsklassiker. "Serenade to an Old Man" är ett porträtt av- och tillägnat just en sådan herre. Verket beställdes av Stockholms Kammarbrass och skrevs direkt för dem. I stycket hörs fragment av storbandsklassiker som Moonlight Serenade, Song of India, Blue Skies och In the Mood skymta fram, och så har "the Old Man" fått ett alldeles eget tema som klingar i tuban..." - Andrea Tarrodi.

Comment: "In Sweden there are, here and there, a few older men who, in their spare time, enjoy playing swing and listening to old big band classics. Serenade to an Old Man is a musical portrait of such a man. The piece was commissioned by- and written for the Stockholm Chamber Brass. During the piece you will here fragments of big band classics such as Moonlight Serenade, Song of India, Blue Skies and In the Mood appear, and "the Old Man" has a theme of his own, presented by the tuba..." - Andrea Tarrodi
