Paradisfåglar - Birds of Paradise was originally written for String orchestra. It was premiered by Musica Vitae in autumn 2008. The 2013 version for orchestra was commissioned by and decicated to the Västerås Sinfonietta. It was premiered at the Västerås Concert Hall on September 12, 2013.

Comment: "Paradisfåglar was inspired by one of BBC:s Planet Earth films about the strange and beautiful birds of paradise. Their many different colours, the way they fly and the way the sound and sing..."
