"Eldklotter" for piano and percussion was commissioned by Smålands Musik & Teater. The piece was premiered during the inauguration of Jönköpings new concert hall Spira. The piece was inspired by Tomas Tranströmer´s poem "Eldklotter" ("Firescribbling").

Eldklotter

Under de dystra månaderna gnistrade mitt liv till
bara när jag älskade med dig
Som eldflugan tänds och slocknar, tänds och slocknar
-glimtvis kan man följa dess väg
i nattmörkret mellan olivträden

Under de dystra månaderna satt själen hopsjunken
och livlös
men kroppen gick raka vägen till dig
Natthimlen råmade.
Vi tjuvmjölkade kosmos och överlevde.

Firescribbling

During the dismal months, my life sparkled only when I made love with
you.
As the firefly ignites and then goes out, ignites, goes out—one can follow
its flight by glimpses
in the dark night among the olive trees.

During the dismal months the soul sat shrunken and lifeless,
but the body took the straight path to you.
The night sky bellowed.
By stealth we milked the cosmos and survived.
